This is interesting for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it’s got a lot of green in it. Not a very common colour on superannuals.

Secondly, the very very weird creatures floating around on the front are indicative of the problems inherent in superboy/man (apart from him being an uptight right wing reactionary) which is that if you are super, your authors have to make up a lot of ridiculous shit just to offer you a challenge.

Think how much more interesting Superman would have been with his powers and the early Batman’s moral ambiguity.
